Yes or No Wheel

Click to spin · Ctrl + ↵ · DragTap or flick to spin

Ask your question, spin, and the yes or no wheel answers. Every result is a fair random pick, and when two answers are not enough you can add Maybe or tilt the odds in a few seconds.

How the yes or no wheel works

The wheel holds two sectors of equal size, Yes and No. Click the hub, press Ctrl + Enter or flick the wheel, and it spins, slows down and stops on an answer. The answer is decided the moment you spin: your browser draws it with its cryptographic random generator, then the needle is steered to land somewhere inside that sector. How hard you flick never changes the odds.

When the needle stops, the result window shows the answer. Close it and spin again, or open the Results tab to see every answer in order — handy when you play best of three.

When a coin flip is not enough

  • Small decisions. Order dessert? Go for a run before work? Watch one more episode?
  • Games and parties. Let the wheel decide whether a player keeps a card, answers a bonus question or skips a turn.
  • Classrooms. Spin to decide between a pop quiz and a review game, or to answer yes-or-no prompts in a language lesson.
  • Streams. Switch to Fullscreen and let chat ask the questions; viewers see the same spin you do.

Make it your own

Two answers are only the start. Every line in Entries is one sector, so you can type Maybe, Ask tomorrow or Definitely and they appear on the wheel at once. To change the odds without adding lines, open Advanced and set a weight per answer: Yes 3 and No 1 makes Yes three times as likely, and its sector grows to show it.

A few settings change the feel of the wheel:

  • Mystery — hide labels until result turns the wheel into a blank disc, so nobody can follow the answer while it spins.
  • Spin duration sets how long the suspense lasts.
  • Sounds and Confetti can be turned down for a quiet office or up for a party.

Click the title to rename the wheel, then press Share to send a link with your answers and settings. The list is also saved in your browser, so it is still here next time.

Random answers, honest odds

The wheel does not know the future and does not pretend to. It gives a fair random answer, which is exactly what you want when both options are acceptable and you would rather not choose. And if you catch yourself hoping for one side while the wheel is still turning, that is a useful answer too.

FAQ

Questions

Is the yes or no wheel really 50/50?
Yes, as long as both answers have the same weight. The result is chosen by your browser's cryptographic random generator before the wheel starts turning, and the animation only lands on it.
Can I add Maybe or other answers?
Yes. Type a new line such as Maybe, Ask again or Not today in the Entries list. Every line becomes its own sector.
How do I make Yes more likely?
Switch the list to Advanced and give Yes a higher weight, for example 2 for Yes and 1 for No. Its sector grows and so does its chance.
Can the wheel predict the future?
No. It gives a random answer for quick decisions and games, not fortune-telling. Use it when both options are fine and you just want someone else to decide.
