Number Wheel

Click to spin · Ctrl + ↵ · DragTap or flick to spin

Pick a range, fill the number wheel and spin for a random number. It is a random number generator you can watch — good for draws, games and choosing who goes next.

Pick a number in any range

The wheel starts with the numbers 1 to 10. To change the range, use the From and to fields above the list:

  1. Type the lowest number in From and the highest in to — for example 1 and 100.
  2. Press Fill wheel. The list is replaced with every whole number in the range, up to 1000 numbers.
  3. Spin: click the hub, press Ctrl + Enter or flick the wheel.

Changed your mind? Undo in the notification brings the previous list back. You can also type numbers by hand, one per line, when you need a set that is not a range — only even numbers, say, or the seat numbers in a room.

Draws, raffles and lotto-style games

For a raffle with numbered tickets, fill the wheel with the ticket range and turn on “Remove winner after spin”. Every ticket drawn leaves the wheel, so no number wins twice, and the Results tab keeps the winning numbers for you to copy and post.

The same setup runs a bingo-style game: fill 1–75 or 1–90, spin, call the number, repeat. Mystery hides the labels while the wheel turns, which adds a moment of suspense before each number appears.

Everyday uses

  • Who goes next. Number the players or students and spin.
  • Homework and exercises. Spin a page, a question number or the number of reps.
  • Games. Pick a level, a starting square or a bonus.
  • Tie-breakers. Everyone guesses a number, and the wheel decides who was closest.

On a big screen, Fullscreen shows just the wheel and its title; Space spins and Esc exits.

Odds and weights

By default every number has the same chance. If one number should come up more often — a bonus round on 7, for instance — open Advanced and raise its weight; its sector grows to show the larger chance. Each spin is drawn by the browser’s cryptographic random generator before the animation, so how hard you flick never changes the result.

FAQ

Questions

How do I pick a random number from 1 to 100?
Type 1 in From and 100 in to, press Fill wheel, then spin. The wheel holds every number in the range and stops on one chosen at random.
Can I draw numbers without repeats?
Yes. Turn on “Remove winner after spin” in Settings. Each number drawn leaves the wheel, and the Results tab lists the numbers in the order they came up.
What is the biggest range?
Up to 1000 numbers on one wheel, for example 1–1000 or 500–1499. With many numbers the labels get small, but the result window always shows the number in full.
Is the number wheel truly random?
Yes. The number is drawn by your browser's cryptographic random generator before the spin starts, and the wheel is steered to land on it.
