Prize Wheel

Click to spin · Ctrl + ↵ · DragTap or flick to spin

List your prizes, decide how often each one should come up and spin. The prize wheel opens with the weights table, so the grand prize stays rare and small rewards keep everyone playing.

How the prize wheel works

The wheel opens with six example prizes and their weights: Grand prize 1, Tote bag 2, Free coffee 3, 10% off 4, Sticker 5 and Try again 5. The weights add up to 20, so the chances are 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%, 25% and 25%. Each sector is drawn in proportion to its weight, which means players can see the odds at a glance.

When someone spins — by clicking the hub, pressing Ctrl + Enter or flicking the wheel — the prize is drawn by your browser’s cryptographic random generator before the animation starts. The wheel then slows down and lands on it, however hard the flick.

Set your own odds

  1. Replace the example prizes with yours in the Advanced table, one prize per row.
  2. Give common prizes high weights and rare prizes low ones. Weight 1 out of a total of 50 is a 2% chance.
  3. Hide a prize for a while instead of deleting it, for example when the tote bags run out.

Want every prize to be equally likely? Set all weights to 1. Going back to the plain list is one click on the Advanced switch.

Where a prize wheel shines

  • Trade show booths and store openings: a big screen in Fullscreen draws a crowd.
  • Classrooms: reward points, homework passes and small privileges.
  • Streams: spin the wheel for prizes when a goal is reached.
  • Parties: birthday games and office celebrations with small gifts.

Fair and transparent

Because the odds are visible and the draw is random, nobody has to wonder whether the game is rigged. Press Share to save the wheel with all prizes and weights as a link, ready for the next event. If the wheel runs at a counter or a booth, post the odds next to the screen as well; it builds trust and keeps the game honest.

FAQ

Questions

How do I set the odds on a prize wheel?
Each prize has a weight in the Advanced table. Its chance is its weight divided by the total: with weights adding up to 20, a prize with weight 1 wins 1 time in 20, or 5%.
Do bigger sectors mean better odds?
Yes. The sector size follows the weight, so what players see matches the real chance. Nothing is hidden or rigged.
What if a prize runs out?
Press Remove in the result window, or hide the prize in Advanced so it stays in your list for the next event.
Can I hide the prizes until the wheel stops?
Turn on “Mystery — hide labels until result” in Settings. Players see a blank wheel, and the prize appears only when the needle stops.
