Pick a die, choose how many and press Roll: the dice tumble and the total appears at once, modifier included. Every die from D4 to D100 is here, and the wheel can roll the same die with a spin.
How to roll dice online
- Choose the die: D4, D6, D8, D10, D12, D20 or D100.
- Set How many dice to roll and, if your game needs it, a Modifier such as +3 or −2.
- Press Roll. Every die shows its face, and the total appears next to the notation.
History keeps your last ten rolls with each die and the total, so nobody has to remember what came up two turns ago. Copy puts the whole history on your clipboard for a chat or a game log.
Every die for board games and RPGs
- D4 — dagger damage and magic missile in Dungeons & Dragons;
- D6 — the classic cube of Monopoly, Catan and Yahtzee;
- D8, D10, D12 — weapon damage and hit dice: a rogue rolls a d8, a fighter a d10 and a barbarian a d12;
- D20 — attack rolls, saving throws and skill checks in D&D and Pathfinder;
- D100 — percentile rolls from 1 to 100 in one go.
Lost the dice from a board game box? Choose D6, set How many to 2 and play on.
Roll a die on the wheel
Each die button also fills the wheel with its numbers: D6 puts 1–6 on it, D20 puts 1–20. A spin then gives every number exactly the same chance as the die, and in Fullscreen the whole table or classroom sees the result land. The notification after each switch has Undo if you want your previous list back.
Dice odds in brief
- One fair die gives each face the same chance: 1 in 6 on a D6, 5% for any face of a D20.
- Totals of several dice are not equally likely. With two D6, a 7 comes up most often — 6 of the 36 combinations, about 17% — while 2 and 12 have just 1 chance in 36 each.
- 3d6 ranges from 3 to 18 and averages 10.5, which is why classic character stats cluster around 10 and 11.
- Rolling with advantage means rolling two D20 and keeping the higher one: set How many to 2. It raises the chance of a natural 20 from 5% to 9.75%.
Need a single number from a range instead? The random number generator handles any range, and flip a coin settles a choice between two.
- How do I roll a D20?
- Press D20, then Roll. The wheel switches to 1–20 as well, so you can also spin it. A natural 20 shows in green and a natural 1 in red.
- Can I roll several dice and add a modifier?
- Yes. Set How many to the number of dice and type the bonus or penalty in Modifier. The button shows the roll in dice notation, such as 2d6+3, and the result adds everything up.
- Are the rolls fair?
- Every die comes from your browser's cryptographic random generator, so each face has exactly the same chance. Unlike real dice, there are no worn edges or chipped corners.
- What do 1d20 and 3d6 mean?
- The number before the d is how many dice to roll, the number after it is how many sides each die has. 3d6 means three six-sided dice added together, for a total from 3 to 18.
